Sunrise Yoga Class:
Sunrise Yoga is a 60 minute vinyasa class designed to promote great physical and mental awakening, integration, and energy. This class will start with a brief meditation and pranayama practice and will build through slow, full sun salutations with the freedom to flow at your own pace, on the rhythm of your breath. Sunrise yoga will focus on lengthening the spine, energizing the essential musculature to support your body throughout the day, and clearing the mind to be open and at cause when faced with the day’s challenges and opportunities. This is a fantastic way to set a rock solid foundation of peace, poise, strength, clarity, and focus for your day. The room is heated to 95 degrees during this yoga course.
Yoga Sculpt/Bootcamp Class:
Yoga Sculpt /Bootcamp is a fun, creative, and intense workout that will expand your focus beyond yoga and integrate unique strength, circuit training and plyometrics into your yoga practice. This unique combination will jump-start your metabolism, strengthen your core, and increase your cardiovascular endurance. This Chicago yoga class will utilize light free weights and weight bar. The room is heated to 85 degrees during this class. Appropriate for all levels.
Vinyasa Flow Class:
Vinyasa Flow is a Power Vinyasa class inspired by the Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga method. The yoga class offers an energetic and integrated combination of rigorous vinyasa, pranayama, and contemporized yogic principles and philosophy designed to invite and guide student yogis into a courageous journey into their physical and personal power. Hot Vinyasa Flow 90 encourages students to take risks, exceed their own expectations, practice at their personal edge of sukha/stira, or effort and grace, and to be true to their own practice, allowing internal or external judgment to fall away. The result of practicing these elements of Vinyasa Flow 90 will unfold from the yoga mat and into the world, as students begin to tap into their own personal, authentic power, bringing more joy, love, creation, intuition, and full-expression into their lives. This Chicago yoga class is accessible to all levels of yogis, as modifications are given for various poses to accommodate both yoga beginner as well as the more advanced yogis. The room is heated to 95 degrees during this hot yoga class.
Candlelight Yoga / Restorative Yoga Class:
This local yoga class combines the best of both Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. It includes the meditation and physical alignment of Hatha, while incorporating the breath-synchronized movement that is characteristic of the Vinyasa practice. In this yoga course, students can expect to energetically hold and flow through poses creating a calm nervous system and reducing physical and mental stress. This River North yoga class aims to master the fundamentals of forward folds, backbends, and twists while introducing yoga students to a deeper understanding of the mental benefits of yoga.
Yogalates Class:
Join us for this new fun fusion of yoga and pilates. Like yoga, pilates will help you focus on your mind body connection, while adding on extra strength training targeting your core muscles. If you want to challenge yourself and spice up your practice, this yogalates class is perfect for you!
Kids Yoga Class:
This yoga for kids class is designed for kids ages 4-10. Through learning the fundamentals of breathing practice and playful poses that engage their natural creativity and imagination, child yoga students benefit from increased balance, coordination, flexibility, focus, strength, and self and community awareness. Kids will be challenged according to their level and will have a ton of fun while getting great exercise. It is proven that yoga for children helps to quiet their minds, improve mind-body connection, control, and coordination, and increase blood flow and oxygen to the brain and all vital organs.
Note: The class will be moderately warm, but will not be a “hot” yoga class.
Beginner Yoga Class:
This yoga class explores the basics and fundamentals of Vinyasa Flow. Students will learn to deepen their connection between breath and movement, to build a solid, stable foundation for poses, and to flow with optimal alignment and grace. This is the best yoga class for beginners as well as experienced vinyasa practitioners, as students will be offered several modifications for poses, both basic and advanced. This Chicago yoga studio is heated to 95 degrees for this class.
